The assessor is responsible for using state guidelines for determining the value of property. Taxpayers will receive notices in the mail every spring detailing the value of the property that will be taxed. Taxpayers wishing to meet with the assessor or receive a copy of their property record card information can arrange this by emailing or phoning the assessor.

Tax Collection

Payment may be hand delivered or mailed to the Treasurer's office at 2951 127th Ave, Allegan MI 49010. A dropbox is also available at this location.


A penality of 1% per month will be assessed once taxes are past due. A penality of 3% per month with be assessed starting February 15th. As of February 28th any unpaid tax bills will be collected by Allegan County.
